Primary packaging involves machines that carry out the bagging stage, when the packaging comes into direct contact with the products.

Secondary packaging, on the other hand, involves all the processes by which the previously packaged bags are bundled, placed into boxes and palletized.

Our dosing and weighing systems are designed for granular products and work great in terms of precision, versatility and speed. For example, multi-head weighers are ideal for small formats and medium and high-flow products.

For medium and large formats, the alternatives are electronic gross or net weighers, depending on the required production speed.

Primary packaging machinery

Vertical FFS packaging machines

Vertical packaging machines form, fill and seal pillow or square-bottom bags from a three-seal flat reel. They are ideal for optimizing the product packaging process, ensuring high efficiency, precision and production speed.

VFFS represents an excellent compromise between quality and price, both in initial purchase and daily operation. In fact, using a flat reel is much more economical than using a tubular reel or pre-formed bags.

Bagging machines for premade open-mouth bags

Open-mouth bagging machines are used for filling, sewing or sealing pre-formed bags.

They are suitable for medium or large formats. They are usually used for powdery or granular products, depending on customer requirements. The possibility of filling pre-formed bags allows the use of more aesthetically appealing bags.

For the 1 kg bags we have designed and manufactured a special step-by-step packaging machine, a model equipped with 3 filling spouts. It is suitable for high production volumes of white sugar, cane sugar, raw sugar, etc.

Secondary packaging machinery

In addition to the primary packaging machines analysed above, we also deal with secondary packaging and palletizing systems.

Shrink wrappers:

Often, in sugar packaging, especially in small formats, bags are bundled to make transport easier and to protect the bags.

Our shrink wrappers are a reliable solution available in horizontal and vertical versions.

Case packers

MF CUBE case packer takes care of forming the boxes, filling them automatically by pick and place system and closing them by glue, tape or both.

A single machine in which box formation, product loading and box closing are integrated.

Automatic Palletizers

The choice of palletizing robot for sugar depends on the production volume and the type of bag.

For medium productions, the Cartesian palletizer is the ideal solution, for high productions a layer palletizer is preferred, which also returns a perfectly square pallet format.

Pallet wrappers

Pallet stretch wrappers are often placed at the end of the line. They allow stretch film wrapping to be achieved quickly and reliably.

For an additional level of protection, a Top Sheet Dispenser may be added.
