MF PCA SMART palletizer

The MF PCA SMART palletizer, designed for medium production rates, blends efficiency, ease of use and versatility. The brushless motor endures reliability, speed and precision during the entire machining process.

This palletizing robot is constructed from high-quality materials and components and machines loads of up to 110 lbs with a productivity of up to 500 cycles per hour. The standard height of the structure is just under 9.8 ft while the finished pallet has a maximum height of 70.8 inches (including pallet). However, pallets and structures of more height can be produced, depending on the project required.

Its compactness and small size make it the ideal solution for working in confined spaces and prohibitive environments. It has a small footprint and can be easily placed in any end-of-line. Its modular structure then guarantees different mounting combinations and consequent adaptability to different working environments and existing systems.

The smart palletizing robot is versatile, dependable and has an excellent price-performance ratio. It enables palletizing of many product types: bags, boxes, cartons and bundles.

The use of grip modules is then adapted to the various needs of the client and the specificities of the project. 

Gripping system

The machine is set up for the use of different gripper solutions. These can be customized with the possibility of incorporating numerous options according to the customer's requirements and needs. The main types of grippers are:

• forked gripping head with presser
• cup gripping head section
• gripping head with special box clamp 

These provide handling, picking and storing and general palletizing of boxes, shrink-wrapped bundles, and bags. Sacks include reel bags, pre-formed bags, valve bags to name but a few.

The heads rotate along their own vertical axis so as to deposit the bag in question according to the schedule.

Several versions are provided, in line with the designs submitted by the client. The main ones are:

• Basic version, in which the material is placed on pallets on the floor or on semi-automatic wrappers integrated inside the palletizer.
• Automatic version. Starting from the specially prepared automated pallet magazine, roller conveyors and catenaries ensure continuous feeding and discharge of pallets. Operator involvement is limited only to loading the empty pallet magazine. This automatic palletizer option is particularly popular for the continuous handling of materials. 

Control and command panel

The movement and interpolation system of the four Cartesian axes X,Y,Z and R produce a significant reduction in travel time.

The operator has complete control of the palletising scheme via the integrated PLC system with touch screen. He can thus modify a previous programme or create a new one without the intervention of a specialised technician. Modify the speed of the Cartesian robot according to different operating conditions.

Finally, automatic self-diagnosis is provided to visualize all alarms and warning messages. This eases communication in case of the need for remote or on-site technical assistance. 

Safety devices

• Safety barrier.
• Floor anchorage.
• Safety light barriers for pallet entry and exit.
• Panels complete with welded wire mesh.
